2022 marks the return of the Calvary Chapel Scandinavia conference – Registration is now open!

The Calvary Chapel Scandinavia conference is back after a two-year pandemic-induced hiatus. The 2022 conference will take place on July 27th-31st near the Swedish town of Vingåker, and registration for all available types of accommodation is now open. Sign up now or as soon as possible to secure your accommodation of choice.

In 2020 and 2021 the annual Calvary Chapel Scandinavia Conference had to be cancelled due to the ongoing health risk and travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in the Scandinavian region. With the outlook for this summer now more stabile, the regional conference is set to go ahead this summer at the familiar venue in Vingåker, Sweden.

Many things will be the same as usual, but naturally there will also be a few new Covid safety measures in place, so please take the time to read carefully about this year’s conference before signing up:

THE VENUE
It will be the sixth time that the Scandinavian conference takes place at the campsite called Hjälmargården not far from the Swedish town of Vingåker.

This venue is liked by many of our Scandinavian conference-goers for its lakeside location and offers of outdoor space for activities, incl. canoeing, ball games, miniature golf, playgrounds for kids, etc.

THE TEACHING
A line-up of invited guest pastors and local speakers will teach about the Life of Joseph from the book of Genesis. The conference will also offer specific workshops on topics that are highly relevant to our daily lives as Christians. All teaching will be in English.

THE TEACHERS
This year we welcome four guest speakers to teach alongside local ministry leaders from Scandinavia. These guest speakers are David Guzik (Santa Barbara, California), Stan Marinussen (Haarlemmermeer, the Netherlands), Edmund Coronel (Düsseldorf, Germany), and Mark Walsh (Otley, England). The kids church will once again be taught and led by Kurt and Tiffany Ibbotson and their team of volunteers from Calvary Chapel Leipzig in Germany.

THE TIMING
Please note that the "Arrival and registration" takes place on Wednesday (July 27th) between 4pm and 7pm. Dinner is served at 6pm, and the first worship and teaching session starts at 7:30pm.

COVID SAFETY GUIDANCE
This year will be the first time we gather at a Scandinavian conference since the outbreak of the Covid pandemic, and consequently there will many of you who will have questions and/or requests about the safety protocol for this conference.

The health and safety of all conference attendees is of utmost importance to the organizers. It is our hope and prayer that as many people as possible will be able to attend and will feel safe in doing so.

To apply maximum transparency, the 2022 Calvary Chapel Scandinavia conference will be subject to all Covid safety measures set out by the Swedish government at the time of the conference. We will neither add nor subtract to the government guidelines. We follow the laws of the land.

If the conference venue of Hjälmargården applies any additional Covid safety measures, these will be communicated out to all attendees a week before the conference starts, and all conference attendees will be expected to follow these measures.

Any deliberate failure to comply with the Covid safety measures put in place by the government and venue will result in being asked to leave the conference. Similarly, attendees cannot expect measures to be enforced during the conference that are not mandated by the government or venue.

We encourage everyone to keep themselves informed about the Covid safety guidance in Sweden via the following government websites: https://www.krisinformation.se/en/ and https://www.folkhalsomyndigheten.se/

TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS
Before signing up for this year’s conference, please make sure you check and understand the travel and entry rules and restrictions between your respective country and Sweden (including any other countries you may travel through to get to the conference). This includes requirements on covid tests and Covid vaccinations.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the Calvary Chapel Scandinavia Team cannot assist or vouch for any participants in any visa application process. If you require special visas to enter Sweden due to your citizenship you must provide this on your own before signing up for the conference (any down-payments made will not be refunded if registration is made without required visa in place).
