Stream or download Bible teachings from 2018 conference

All teachings from this summer's Calvary Chapel Scandinavia conference are available in audio format. Here's where to go to download or stream.

In the last week of July 2018, the 20th consecutive Calvary Chapel (CC) Scandinavia conference took place in Sweden, gathering believers from CC-related ministries from all over the region (click here to read more).

If you missed the conference or want to re-visit the Bible teachings from that conference, where a number of invited guest speakers and local pastors taught through the Book of Nehemiah, then look no further.

Uplifting lessons from Nehemiah for churches of the North

In what will go down as the hottest CC Scandinavia conference ever, 160+ people with invested hearts in Bible-teaching ministry in Scandinavia defied 33C/90F degree temperatures in central Sweden to meet for four and a half days of fellowship, worship, prayer and a Bible study through the Book of Nehemiah.

For the third consecutive year the lakeside conference venue Hjälmargaarden near Vingåker, Sweden provided the setting for this year's annual Calvary Chapel Scandinavia Conference. Guest speakers were pastors Miles DeBenedictis, Stan Marinussen, Darrel Wilmoth and Kurt Ibbotson, who were joined by local speakers Bob Pecoraro and Joel Wickström to teach through the Book of Nehemiah from Wednesday to Sunday.

Record-high attendance was matched by record-high temperatures at this conference, which was the 20th consecutive regional conference for Calvary Chapel-related ministries in Scandinavia.

"This really was a hot conference - not just weather-wise. Hearts were fired up as God ministered to people individually and 'congregationally'. For us as organizers, it always warms our hearts to see so many people get together with one shared vision and burden for God's Word being taught in Scandinavia. As we studied through Nehemiah, we were reminded of how God is building something robust here in this region year by year in spite of lots of opposition," says member of the conference organizer team, Daniel Jacobsen.

Teachings available soon
Among the attendees this year were members of Calvary fellowships and ministries in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway as well as visiting missionaries and supporters from other parts of Europe as well as the U.S.

As in recent years, the worship sessions were led by Mark Walsh from CC Bible Institute in New Zealand, while Kurt Ibbotson from CC Leipzig in Germany had once again brought a team of children's ministry helpers to teach and serve the ever-growing number of kids in the Scandinavian Calvary-community. A team of helpers from Front Range, Colorado supported the conference through practical service as in recent years, much to the blessing and edification of the organizers and attendees.

Soon all the conference Bible studies and most of the workshop teachings will be published online, so stay tuned on this blog for an update when they are ready for download or streaming.

Reactions and interviews with this year's guest speakers will be published on this blog in the coming week.
