CC Scandinavia Conference Due to Return in 2022

In 2020 and 2021 the annual Calvary Chapel Scandinavia Conference had to be cancelled due to the ongoing health risk and travel restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic in the Scandinavian region. With the outlook for next year more stabile, a decision has been taken to proceed with the planning of a 2022 conference to take place in Sweden on July 27th-31st.

Good news for all those who have missed the Scandinavian conferences in the past two years. Lord willing and conditions allowing, the annual CC Scandinavia conference will be held at the previously-used venue in Vingåker, Sweden on July 27th-31st.

More information will be communicated early in 2022 about the guest teachers, the schedule, how to sign up and other useful information.

For now, please mark your calendars - and stay safe!

Join your CC Scandinavia friends at two online sessions this week

The 2021 Calvary Chapel Scandinavia conference will be made up of two online-only sessions on Friday and Saturday this week. Here is how you can join one or both of those sessions.

With the global coronavirus pandemic still making international travel and larger social gatherings a health risk, the annual Calvary Chapel Scandinavia (CCS) conference is cancelled for the second year in a row, as previously announced. However, instead a mini-conference will be held virtually this year to allow regular attendees to connect for a few sessions of Bible study, prayer and ministry updates.

There will be two virtual sessions, where friends of the CCS conference can dial in to zoom to hear short ministry updates from the CC churches in Scandinavia plus hear a Bible study taught by pastors David Guzik and Mark Walsh.

The two sessions will be held on:

Friday July 30th at 19:30 CET (hear ministry update from the CC churches in Finland and Skövde, Sweden + Bible study by David Guzik)

Saturday July 31st at 09:00 CET (hear ministry updates from the CC churches in Hillerød, Denmark and Stockholm + Bible study by Mark Walsh).

To sign up and receive the Zoom link/invitation to join, please email conf@calvarychapel.dk to let us know which of the two sessions you would like to join (you can join both or just one). We will then send you an email with your log-in details and other practical info.

Given these are virtual sessions with no cost for the organizers, it is of course free of charge to attend.

We hope to see as many of you as possible over the two sessions online.

Scandinavian conference to be held virtually in 2021

With the global coronavirus pandemic still making international travel and larger social gatherings a health risk, the annual Calvary Chapel Scandinavia conference is cancelled for the second year in a row. Instead, a mini-conference will be held virtually this year to allow regular attendees to connect for a few sessions of Bible study, prayer and ministry updates.

Ever since the first Calvary Chapel Scandinavia conference was held in the summer of 1999 in Malmø, Sweden it has been held every year in either Sweden or Denmark for 20 consecutive years until the global coronavirus pandemic forced the 2020 conference to be cancelled last year.

The conference organizers have now confirmed that the conference hiatus will have to be extended by yet another year as it is not yet fully safe to stage a conference of this nature with over a hundred participants traveling from multiple countries. The 2021 conference was due to take place in Vingåker, Sweden on July 28th to August 1st.

"We are disappointed to confirm that we have to cancel the 2021 conference. It is just not safe yet for all of us to come together in the way we normally would like to. To give the CCS community an opportunity to connect, we have decided to arrange a virtual mini-conference instead, which will contain a handful of virtual sessions to run in the weekend when the normal conference would have taken place. We expect to announce more details about this shortly," says Daniel Jacobsen, member of the CCS conference team of organizers.

Please mark your calendars for July 30th and 31st when these virtual sessions are expected to take place.

More information will be shared soon about exact timings and the content and format of the sessions themselves.
